MEDEAS Forum: Terms of service

The following document is a quick guide on how to use the MEDEAS forum. This should be your first point of reference when seeking assistance for any forum related issues.

Access to the forum is granted to registered users. Registering to the MEDEAS users’ forum you agree and abide to the acceptance of the following rules and guidelines:

Forum Purpose and administration:

  • This forum has been created to give support to pymedeas users.
  • The forum is administrated and moderated by the MEDEAS consortium who will provide answers to your questions.
  • The administrators and moderators reserve the rights to delete, lock, ban and edit posts for anyone who violates or fails to observe any of the rules below.
  • Administrators have the final say in modifying, interpreting, and enforcing these rules.
  • Note: If you observe someone breaking a rule or behaving in an otherwise questionable fashion, alert a moderator or an administrator.

Subjects covered in the forum:

  • Posts in the MEDEAS support forum must be either questions about the MEDEAS models and the use of pymedeas_models or else answers to those questions.
  • Users who post about subjects that are not pymedeas_models support requests will be deleted or tagged "offtopic”, if appropriate.

Forum functioning:

  • The forum topics will be arranged in a hierarchical nature to ease grouping and navigation of topics.
  • To browse the contents of a Topic, simply click the Topic’s title to open it.
  • Create one thread for each subject you need help with.
  • Forum users can join existing threads, start a new thread, and take part in active thread.

Forum behaviour, language and conduct:

  • Users of the MEDEAS forum are expected to be respectful.
  • Do not use obscene, lewd, lascivious, filthy, or violent language.
  • Do not harass, insult, taunt, provoke, demean, or personally attack other forum members. Be friendly even if others are not.
  • Generally, any disruptive behavior will be considered unacceptable

Spaming:

  • Users who post forum spam will have their posts removed.
  • If a post that is otherwise appropriate includes links considered to be spam, those links will be removed.

Images, other media and links:

  • You can add images, such as a "screenshot" of your computer screen. Added images or other media must help explain a problem or solution.
  • Inappropriate media will be removed.
  • Link to a particular content rather than posting it in its entirety, unless you are the copyright holder or have permission from the copyright holder.
